Intrada on Ein feste Burg

Based on the chorale by Martin Luther, from Psalm 46 (1524) this recording of Ray Farr’s “Intrada on Ein feste Burg” is from Magnolia City’s performance at Christ the King Lutheran Church in May 2022. It opens with three choirs of cornets, one each on either side of the band, and one in the back of the church. After each choir takes turns with fanfares, the band comes in, playing Martin Luther’s hymn. The cornet choirs continue to interject fanfares throughout.
